Kilimanjaro’s Fastest Ascent – Episode One: Leaving Home

Follow Boma Africa founder and Director Lawrence Mafuru (aka Lau), a renowned Tanzanian mountain climber and tour guide, as he travels to Canada, starts a family, participates in numerous sport and endurance challenges in support of charity, and prepares for a Guinness World Record attempt of Mt. Kilimanjaro’s fastest ascent in the Fall of 2013.

In this episode, join Lau as he learns to ice skate, participates in his first ice hockey game (as part of Guinness World Record Attempt), previews Boma Africa’s upcoming Kilimanjaro Quest 95.2 with Martin Parnell, and begins training for his world record climb.
